Unexpectedly created my first paid map today! I haven't really tried to make maps for money, but was contacted by a fellow map maker friend who had an extra order needing filled. This one was fairly quick and simple, so I decided to give it a go! The client wanted a map which resembles an arena in Dragon Ball Z. I couldn't quite match the colors and object shapes exactly due to limitations in varieties to choose from, but I'm still pleased with how it turned out. Ignore the pink triangle-looking things around the arena. This is just a bug with the editing software and doesn't actually show up in-game.
This is the picture it was based upon:

Project #4 just completed!
I'm super proud to present my latest creation! Again, I'm terrible with making creating names for these projects, so guess what - it's just called "Gambling Zone"Nonetheless, I definitely put the most amount of work into this one; clocking in at ~24 hrs of work time. At this point I feel very comfortable with the software and feel like I can accomplish most tasks. Now I'm working on refining techniques, improving my speed, and focusing on more advanced builds.
This gambling zone contains 4 main features:
- The bank
- General games area in the center
- Flower poker lanes on the left and right side that are 35 x 6 squares wide. Perfect for planting 5 flowers and seeing them all.
- The ledge for observing players games from above so you aren't in their way
Thanks for checking me out! I have a lot of great ideas in mind and a good amount of projects of my own to fulfill, so stay tuned for more!

Loving your work. Really enjoy the DBZ tournament map if only someone else hadn't special requested it
You have some true talent would love to see more work or even a service thread open up!
I appreciate that a bunch man!I have a cool collaboration in the works right now that will likely be posted within the next couple of days. Also, I have about 6 more maps planned for my own project that I plan to start on within the next couple days too! I'm super stoked to create these because I've been gradually building upon my skills over the past couple months... these next maps are just going to keep getting better I think.
Once I complete my personal projects I may look towards creating a service thread. If the stars align and I happen to have some free time between things + someone brings a cool proposal my way... I may consider doing something sooner.
Also, I've been thinking about doing another community release, but I'm not sure what I should do.... any ideas?
Make a dungeon or semi-large room geared towards raid-like minigames. Something similar to your underground castle wars but smaller & without the big castle. You could try putting more than one biome in whatever map you do make. I'm sure people will eat it up and it sounds like a good chance to learn!

Big ol' vouch for Chanston here who created a map for me for some custom projects and streamed the entire process so i could add input at anytime.
If theres any point where he's free again, i'll deffo be hitting him up.
Currently working on a custom DMM map right now! It's going to be an island spanning across 4 zones with a massive fortress in the center. I just spent multiple hours shaping roughly 1k tiles to give the island a smooth shape.
Here's an example of a zone before and after shaping![]()
This is my first attempt at an island actually, so I'll continue sharing my progress as I work on it over this weekend.
