    I doubt that Emps has lost players due to new updates.. The most logical reason is either people grew out of rsps or decided to go play another rsps because they already completed everything they could in emps.

    When I saw the date on this thread, my jaw dropped. If it was in the client section, I would have quit rsps development long ago, as emps-world has made everything better than I could ever make.

    Worked on water ripple effect lately and gave water planes some finetuning: https://i.imgur.com/yPKDuop
    Next on the list is reflections, but that's going to be pretty performance intense

    I've already thought about this and it should be possible with a depth test, similar to shadows. I'll do some googling though, because that's a common problem people have already solved.

    Updated ground texture blending. I now detect different ground types by its color and blend them together. So far I'm detecting 2 types of sand, snow, 2 types of mud, grassland and rocks. Here's an example:

    The shadow rendering really needs a revamp, I see a series of issues in client code and ingame visually. I'd be happy to pm you this in discord or whatever to send personal reports like this, etc..

    Also please bear in mind that shadows are rendered in 1 pass in order to keep performance at a maximum. Rendering techniques are rather fast than correct. Nobody likes playing with low fps counters.
