    It's been years when I last touched anything related with private servers. This also applies for coding etc. Since these weird Corona times (wish you all the best btw!) I figured this would be the perfect time to start and host my own private server and mess around with it again and learning some Java programming along the way, which in itself will be a long but enjoyable process.

    Edit (reason, some issues fixed but still looking for hiring a dev): There were a few issues that luckily I was able to fix by myself and with the help of tutorials. I have a release working on my own IP address for others to join and this will eventually carried over on a VPS.

    So to make things as clear and short as possible. I have a server, VPS, domain (not hosting yet) ready. The only thing that I will be needing is someone with experience that is able to make a website+database for me with linked highscores/voting/donation (scripts are already made, only needs to connect) tabs. I will also most likely need some coding services every now and then which will be paid on an hourly basis.

    Needed:

    - Website ( RSPS Niche )
    - Working database
    - Small help such as altering the server EXP rates which I couldn't figure out where it's located
    - Future help/questions with small coding tasks

    Introduction me as a person:
    I am a 27 year old guy from the Netherlands, recently graduated in online marketing, interaction design, and applied science. Speaking English/Dutch fluently.

    Now bare with me. Like a lot of other bronzies around this community my understanding is bare bones. It does help that I worked with languages before (basic) so I know how to alter things and make up my own variants from excisting scripts etc. I tried different releases on here but I got nothing to work. Either some Java files were outdated or I just didn't really knew what to look for. All this experience lead to something as I download eclipse for one release that I didn't got to work, I tried the same thing with a release called Vencillio and it worked! Nice. Finally I could login my own server and the first issue occured. Right-click doesn't seem to work and register as a normal left-click which is of course a problem. This might be a very easy, basic fix for someone but for a person like me it's like trying to find a needle in a wheat field.

    I am willing to learn and I understand I won't be having the perfect server in a couple of days. I am here for the long run and I accept that I have to start from the bottom. I already have my own VPS in which the server could potentially run on when everything is up to my wishes. There is some help that I need to come towards that point and I am willing to pay or hire someone to explain and teach me the ropes a bit. I have 0 knowledge about MYSQL so writing tables to make things like Highscores and voting systems to work won't be realistic anytime soon. In the past I remember I made my own Maplestory Private Server and they often came with a CMS system. That CMS allowed you to create a simple niche website based on the game with integrated Highscores etc. You only had to upload the sql. file and 'badum-tss' you had your working database and players could view their highscores and what not. Worked perfectly but I have no idea if such thing exist in the RSPS space.

    Long story short: I am very motivated to learn, I have some basic understanding of languages but bare bones when it comes to RSPS as a whole. I am looking for someone that could help me get this thing up and running with a integrated website that hosts Highscores/voting system. This would mean a working database I assume.

    I am willing to pay for everything but maybe there is a simple fix for the right-mouse-click that doesn't seem to work properly at the moment and I wish where I could find the file where I could alter the server's EXP rate. Any tutorials on this particular release are also welcome (Vencillio).

    Your referring to JDK I suppose? (Just shows my absolute lack of knowlegde and I am shamed of it). I believe I even downloaded the most recent version which was like JDK 14. I'll see if downloading java 8 will solve this issue. Thanks for the free information. Everything helps really.

    Edit: I checked real quick. These two are currently installed:
    * Java 8 update 251
    * Jave(TM SE Development Kit 14.0.1 (64-bit)

    Bump

    (Reason bump: Issues stated before have been solved but still wanting to hire a developer or someone that is able to provide the things that I need. Read the first message of this topic as it contains the updated information regarding my needs)
