Hello,
Some of the R-S Discord/Empyrean squad might be aware already but I've been working on a rather fun side project for the past few weeks.
I wanted to post this thread mainly as a motivator for myself and to gain feedback on how best to design the UI along the way rather than in the aftermath.
The only project this will be used on for now is Empyrean:
https://www.rune-server.ee/runescape...ml#post5602854
I do want to make the tool available for others as either an open-source project or as a one-time purchase further down the road.
However, the main incentive for me to work on this tool right now is to use it for Empyrean.
TODO:
- View NPC animations
- View Player animations
- Interactive sliders
- Animation player
- Skeleton selection
- Frame editing
- Interpolation (tweening)
- Animation saving
- 3D UI tools
Here is some information I printed regarding frames. I am currently trying to get a better grasp of how frames are stored in files,
as a step towards replicating the encoding process. I figured maybe someone will find this interesing:

Media (All outdated, old design)
A lot of the gifs are of poor quality, I will try and upload more HQ gifs later.
Spoiler for view media (scoll down for newer media):
I've completely reworked the editor during my spare time.
This is all written in Kotlin with just the standard java libraries .
I do plan on making this open-source soon,
just need to find some more free time during the summer to work on the remaining things.

- strongmuffin -> for his scape editor tool
- kris -> for discussing some ideas and his help with reversing the decoding of frames
