    I'm currently trying to merge 468 cache files into my 498 client, but I'm running into an issue with the tree textures.


    The textures are always showing a separated line at the top of the tree.
    I'm using a program I wrote in C# that can merge texture files into the single-file format that 498 expects, and they load fine in-game on everything except Oak and regular trees as far as I can tell.
    I've tried copying all 468 models, objects, textures, and sprites into the 498 cache, and I've compared the 468 source code with 498 for each portion, but nothing seems out of place.
    Do I just need to manually shift all of the tree textures up by a few pixels in the client's code? That feels like the wrong way to go about this, so I figured it would be better to ask.

    If I remember correctly 498 uses the "newer" texturing system found in 503+ that might be the cause of your issue

    Thank you both, that's quite helpful. I'll shift my focus to getting the 468 texture rendering code swapped in. I'll post a screenshot if I get it working.

    EDIT: I'm currently taking a break on this, since I was previously working on RS for a while before I got to this obstacle. I'll get back to this in a week or two
