    Hello rune-server

i've been working on my client lately and i have a couple of questions, what are some ways to get better client performance / more fps? and what are some ways i can start optimizing my client? i have anti-aliasing and with fullscreen/resizable the client gets a huge fps drop and is almost unplayable my client runs on 20-35 fps without anti-aliasing:

my client is a ruse client from Evolve release.

without anti-aliasing (with hd textures it drops like 10 fps):

    with anti-aliasing:

you can see fps at the left in the middle and with fixed resolution the client stays at a solid 50 fps.

I want more fps for better client performance but i have no idea what to work on, im not that good with client work, any idea where i should start or what do you recommend me to do?

Remove the fog and particles on whip should help with your FPS.

A lot of this shit done shouldn't even be CPU based but here we are anyways.
Remove AA for obvious results, or buy openGL or directX service and start from there

Disable the AA preference by default, but you always have the option to re-toggle on/off in the settings. FPS > AA

Everybody telling me to remove/disable AA, ofcourse that would help but my main reason for this thread was to get more fps/performance without removing AA and similiar from the client so that i can run the client smoothly with AA and other features and not to disable/remove them, without AA the client looks hideous.

You're absolutely right but i was thinking if there was a way of getting more fps while using the cpu only.

i would love to implement OpenGL or DirectX but i have no knowledge (unless i start learning lol) and don't know how much that would cost, i probably cannot afford that lmao.
