Just looking for a cache editor or a way to unpack/pack everything so I can edit the cache.

Okay I have a good base of knowledge of Java, more of my knowledge is at creating websites. But that's beside the point I am trying to make here. There is some client-side work required on my server and I have seen code in my itemdefinitions class that edits the item names / definitions on loading. This is bad practice and I know that they should be edited/added in the cache files.
This is where the problem is, I have no idea how to get this working. I have seen some dumping methods in my client and I have ran them a couple times. Looked at the output but most of the methods are just generating list with data like "1714 - Santa Hat". Okay great maybe I can get more data from here and pack them in .JSON or still .txt files to pack them again.
Still all this looks kinda a lot of work to simply add/edit some items in the cache. Is there anyone with more knowledge about these things and would like to share or even help/show me how this should be done?
Currently using a 317 Ethos client and I've noticed that they use a different kind of structure in their cache than the other clients.
Already a big thanks for reading and I'm sorry if I have some mistakes in written language.

Please someone? I have a feeling this is being ignored because there are many editors around for the client. Which is right but I receive errors when I try to edit my cache files. Just doesn't look like an ordinary client cache.
Someone any info? It's Ethos client as mentioned before.
