Thread: Weird text format in console?

I'm using linux, it worked fine with my previous client so my guess is it has something to do with frames / packets it's sending. But I don't know if there is something out there I am sure other people had this issue.

Since you have a console open, I assume you're running a bash file (or whatever the linux variant of a batch file is).
Could the font prehaps be set in there?

If I use my other client it shows fine, if I use the new client it shows in weird format like above. I checked both clients in the way they send text and it seems to be identical. If I change the unpacking of the text in the text packet nothing changes either, other than it breaks the chat not showing to other players. This issue occurs on both linux & windows.
