Then the cache was not packed/zipped correctly..

are there folders in your cache? when I had trouble with this i ended up having to hardcode creating new folders in order to have everything unzip correctly

I don't think that is it. I think is that it stopped unzipping because it couldn't find a directory (a folder) that isn't being unzipped.
