So, I was trying to get a friend to play another friends server. But he was getting this that black and yellow text screen error on the client. If you don't know what I mean, a picture will be posted at the end of the post. Note that neither the downloadable .jar file nor the webclient work. Anyways, normally when I've had this problem I've noticed it's because the client isn't reading the cache properly. Whether it be the directory in signlink or that something in the cache is missing. But this is not the case. I did a lot of client work for my friend who owns this server so I know what the singlink directory is, and it was in the correct location. Nothing was missing in the cache. I even let the auto cache downloader download the cache again, but same thing happened.

Now this is where it gets weird. The client works for everybody else (the 40+ players online) perfectly. And my friend has played another server that uses the same exact cache and client, just very minor client changes between the two, and that client works perfectly!

Does anybody have any other solutions to this problem? Thanks!

Has he tried deleting the cache and Re-Downloading. If it works for 40+ people, there is definitely something wrong with his PC and not the client. It could be that it's reading the previous cache. You could try giving him the desktop client with the cache still in the directory of the classes.
