    This may sound stupid, but won't a system restore help?

    System Restore only works to a certain date and it may not replace your files already there.

    Ofcourse it replaces existing files, otherwise it wouldn't remove viruses etc if you had one and had to system restore because of it.

    Useless, by now no computer would be able to restore that far back to even matter, i think the most is like 3 or 4 months.

    make a backup = restore point. so you dont lose nothing

    restore to a previous date.


    copy and upload the cache to mediafire


    and restore to the backup you made before you did the first restore

    It leaves files like your documents unchanged but the C: reverted with a few other things.

    Well your windows folder is in the C: drive and thats where the cache is store.. so..
