Hi everyone, I've been working on a custom world on and off since October 2018 in the hopes of making a pretty unique server. I reckon I spent about 1200 hours on this. As it turns out, that's pretty hard without coders to help out. Though the world is nearly complete (I didn't finish all of the dungeons I wanted to make), my work takes up far too much time to be able to assemble a team to make (and later manage) a server. With that, I want to give these maps to all of you, in the hopes that someone can do something nice with them. Enjoy!
Download the maps here.
You will need RSAM-gui to pack these files into your cache. Download it here.
As a reference, the coordinates for Wyncroft are 2945 3375
You will need RSPSi to modify the maps. Get it here.
Here is an image of the RSPSi hashes that correspond to the regions.
Some areas use custom models (mostly modified wall types), so here is a link to the cache I've been using.
I believe that it is a standard 317 cache with OSRS data packed. The objects follow OSRS model IDs, whereas the NPCs follow 317 NPC IDs. The source is a heavily modified version of Elvarg, though I am not sure of what would need to be done to the cache (if anything) to use it for your server of choice. It is not my server to share, so ask Mikan if she would like to share it.
Here are the definitions for the NPCs spawns, drops, and shops.
The definition files are in json. I am not sure exactly where you would go in your server's code to make them compatible. I never got around to doing door configs, as the base we were working on did not have the code for it. Sorry about that.
I also included java files for some changes to NPCs, namely making some attackable (the knights around the Royal Garrison and foxes), custom NPC names, as well as right-click options for some new shop keepers.
Additionally, there are the java files that define the shops and the NPCs with whom they are associated. The exact file names and ways to run the code may vary by source, but just check out the files to get an understanding of how they connect.
Here is a jmap file for a set of pyramids made by Jigsaw that were to be part of a barrows-like minigame.
We never got to implement it, but he is okay with sharing the work. You can import jmap files in RSPSi to paste them into a map.
Finally, here is a link to a former version of Jottgard with above ground buildings.
Bear in mind that, should you chose to use those maps, the path to the agility arena to the north will be blocked. Some modifications will be necessary to seamlessly fit them into the world.
Edit: If anyone's interested in the lore as a guide for the world, I outlined some of it in this post. Here's another post with a link to some quest ideas I've jotted down. If you plan on having music in your server, here's a map I made with songs for each region. I was going for a balance between nostalgic noob songs and things that encapsulate the atmosphere of the region.
Acknowledgements:
Jigsaw, for teaching me just about everything I know about mapmaking over the years. The Deku Tree in Tyllfaen and the guild house in Hazelrun are his creations. There are also some maps (I forget where they are in the cache) that are entirely his work. They are the interiors of the pyramid barrows minigame he designed. There are also custom models and animations for deku scrubs and bombs that were going to be part of a raid. He gave permission to keep all of his work in the cache. Show him some love by giving him some work!
Mikan, for working with Jigsaw and I on our latest attempt on completing this server.
