If this is the wrong section for this type of thing feel free to move it to it's respectable section.
So I haven't worked on this in a fair while now and really have no use for it so I thought I'd release it here for someone to finish & use if they wish.
Spoiler for GIF:
Currently I just have it so it updates the client every time you attempt to launch the client so you'll need to do some sort of version checks to see if the client requires an update, but yeah this alternative also works well I just haven't had time to finish this.
Also I'd like to note this is made in JavaFX.
TO DO:
- Check if the client requires an update.
Download Launcher Files
Download Launcher as Jar
If you wish to use this as it is you'll need to replace the Manic logo in the resources folder as well as a few other things, you'll also need to change all the links / file names inside the configuration class and recompile.
Spoiler for CONFIGURATION:
PS: Create this project as a maven project!
Credits: some servers launcher I seen a while back kind of replicated the exact same design (can't remember the server name so sorry for that).
Kingfox for design.

thx man looks rly good
Deisgn is the same just bigger and less things but code is different to king fox so good job BTW add a progress bar maybe and md5 checking should be easy enough tutorials been released before of it
Hard to see social media icons, and this would be in the applications download section if anything since it's not actually client development work.
Oh yeah I see well it's definitely possible this other server used King Fox's launcher so I guess I'll chuck him on the credits for the design
I don't believe I can add a progress bar since I am not using my own download function I am using
Apache Commons FileUtils
Although it's simple enough to write your own download function if someone wishes to add this I just never really seen a purpose for it myself.
If I'm wrong and you can grab the size of the download & the current amount downloaded I'd like to know because I don't think you can using that.
