So basically since people have been having trouble loading there bonuses from cache and if your running a 718 Loading Rs3 and been wanting to get the correct hits and stats and everything for you're bosses, well here's the solution it's quite simple so first of all this is how we are gonna start with this process but before we start that do this go to the data folder on your source and then go to the sub-folder called "items" and delete bonuses.ib.
that's what it is
but isn't this, what this is? (released in 2016)
https://www.rune-server.ee/runescape...ugh-cache.html
Going to edit the code tonight, will post a better explanation for every revision out there that this is able to be implanted, my bad guys stay tuned. and for the methods you don't ill show you why. ill had this to a source i randomly download and show how you can add it. and it does work for both items, and npc's since every bonus your getting form the monsters hits and yours is changing to the correct hits, and yea you can add custom items still but does won't work unless its a normal item, that runescape has implanted themself.
It doesn't take too much of an 'explanation', your source has methods others do not, simply post the methods from ItemDefinitions as well...
No, please.... listen to people on this thread, we do know what we're talking about, as much as people like to debate it.
Items and NPCs have separate bonuses.
Yes you will hit higher/lower on NPCs because your item is a higher/lower level, but you're not actually editing the NPCs bonuses...
NPCs also have bonuses for each combat style, take a look in your data/npcs folder.
As for the custom items, that's what people are saying... Using your instructions, no one could add custom items, as you wouldn't be able to add bonuses without editing the cache, but you don't give any methods for editing the bonuses, you don't even give the loading ones.
When it comes to shit that comes from the cache:
If you don't know how to edit the cache, and plan on editing the data (in this case bonuses), you are better off dumping it, and loading whatever it is manually to give you the option of editing it.
Yes, editing the cache is better, but some people aren't sure how to, so... yea.
/rant, sorry
useless code without the actual item def methods you're using
when i did this all it did was put like 2k str bonus not anything else just the str bonus
