    People won't contribute, they will just use your tool you worked hard on and try to make money of that. Open sourcing is a great concept, but not in this taking community.

    you don't opensource things with the intention to care about how/why people are using it and if they are profiting off of it.

    don't let the lowest common factor (somebody profiting off of it) blindside you

    Adding a castle. It's the new route into edgeville and also houses the yew trees. The middle floor will probably just have some empty rooms. The rooftop should be a nice open space or whatever for some kind of activity implementation, I dont know. Still need to finish scaping the land (river-side) and what not, I'm having a tough time finding suitable objects that match the theme but it's not horrible I suppose. If anyone has suggestions or anything that'd be cool.

    I'll probably turn this thread into a free maps thread or something if I continue messing around with it.

    Been working on this home island or whatever it is during my free time. Just been doing it primarily to put my editor to work. It's the first fully custom map I've done- meaning it's not just an edit. However the island itself (ground) I did duplicate from another region/island and adjusted it to work for this purpose. I'll post the map files here when I'm done with it.

    So far done:
    Bank
    General Store (Building for npcs that sell shit or whatever)
    Chapel
    Home (Construction) portal
    Summoning obelisk
    Some random oil-well that could be renamed for a different purpose
    Tower with 4 floors (Currently empty other than a spinning wheel for flax)
    Flax field
    Yew trees

    To do:
    Fishing docks and cooking area (probably just a beach-side fire)
    Magic tree / other trees (maybe some oak and willow)
    Thieving stalls (probably behind bank)
    Mining area
    Furnace room
    Re-scape some of the islands edges to taper out the drop-offs from buildings and do some more pathing / foliage objects / underlay work

    MAYBE a rooftop agility course type of thing but I don't know, I'd have to code it in to test it which isn't a huge deal but I just don't really want to haha.

    I'd have liked to space things out some more to avoid feeling compact, but I'm trying to only consume a single region without dipping into any surrounding regions. Should make it easy to implement in whichever water-surrounded region you'd like.

    Looks nice but personally idk feels like too clustered. Maybe space it out abit more?

    The last sentence explains why it’s compact but yeah I agree. In terms of home map though it’s not too bad seeing as how everyone seems to just cram everything into edgeville with no natural flow. I might end up making a fully custom proper home though! This was more of just me testing out my map editor with no real design in mind

    Maybe make the well near the PoH a spot for players to climb down? Could add the mining/furnace area there. Otherwise it looks amazing. Would be a nice home for RuneRoyal

    Sweet idea! I'd have to put the dungeon within a separate region since this one is maxed out, I could include it as a separate map file though I suppose. The well is an oil-well so whoever using would have to edit the objects defs, I'm not really sure where else in the world it's used. As for RuneRoyal, no way, I would spend wayyyy more time and effort on something for RR
