So much fucking drama over 20 teleports, Jesus Christ.
Code was shit, people called you out on that; get over it - this is Rune-Server.
As for the people, ya'll need something better to do than worry over if statements.
Well its all good. removed the text from all the posts I made that had anything that was giving back to the community. You all wonder why there are so few people still on here? This is why. This will be the last post I ever make on here.
BooHop. Your contribution was useful as an utility, but nothing extraordinary or particularly well done - yes the community could be more appreciative, but if your motive in posting here is to receive praise from a community that generally doesn't care for it,
1). reevaluate why you're here or
2). post something worthy of praise.
don’t quit, keep posting and do what you do. don’t let others fully influence and dictate what YOU should do.
+1
i think your idea of what rune-server is all about isn’t right either. it’s a community forum where users from all over can connect, share and learn. just because you personally believe this post isn’t something “worthy” doesn’t mean the next guy believes the same.
and saying adjectives like worthy or verbs like praise is cliche af. it’s like every snippet i see in here there are always “those” users who always have to point out the snippet isn’t done to their standards/expectations.
why don’t you fucking mongrols appreciate the shit people have to offer and move the fuck on. we don’t need 4 pages of people bickering with each other cos the code wasn’t placed in an enumeration.
on another note, thanks for the snippet m8. rep++ and negged the others for you.
I agree - and I never claimed to speak on behalf of others. My point was that in my opinion the intent behind the OP's post is misguided; instead of posting for the sake of inflating one's ego or taking offence at every opportunity, one should contribute towards the greater good of the community (irrespective of how great or small the contribution is) and should treat the opportunity as a lesson in humility and an opportunity to learn through (constructive?) criticism and / or feedback. You can only control how you respond to things, however you can influence how others respond, and you'll notice a correlation between quality / effort and appreciation. Personally, I would rather be informed that my work is shit than praised for it so as to not hurt my feelings; I've found that some of the harshest criticism I've received has lead to the mos growth, both as a person and as a software developer.
