I've seen so many servers fail because of the game server messing up.
Either the owner and developers are away doing stuff IRL and cannot get to a computer to notice their server has been offline for HOURS. This causes a lot of players to lose interest in the server they are playing. So I have created a way to switch to a backup server so if the primary server were to fail by either a game server null, ddos, or server crash, it will failover to your backup server with little to no downtime.

    How it works:

Server 1 is running fine, no problems.
Tony get's upset because Owner will not give him what he demands.
Tony attacks your server causing it to go down.
Server 1 goes down, fails over to Server 2.

This should incrase uptime to upwards of 95%. You still need to do a server maintenance period one time a week to maintain your servers health. I would recommend a Sunday morning at 3:00 AM. This can also be automated. You also have updates you will need to do on your server. However, during maintenance period, you could simply failover to Server 2 to increase your uptime even more.

Not sure if this is worthy of a show-off or not. Thoughts?

If there is enough demand I will make a tutorial on how this is done.

I wouldn't call it dumb shit, by the time they got the second server offline (saying you don't have ddoss protection), your main server will be back online. You do know there is better ways to criticize other peoples work right? Learn to be a little more respectful please.

Well you're basically fucked if they have a stresser that can hit concurrently. My recommendation would be invest into good ddos protection instead of two servers. Lol it's a cool concept though

Two crudely drawn diagrams aren't worthy of a showoff.

dunno why on earth you think that, can easily hire 2 booters or just attack them equally from one
