Item shards were added in build 787. So you will not find them in build 742.

Before item shards, runescape split valuable drops into coins based off of ge prices (which was probably terrible for the economy)

Pretty sure they were removed from the game, which is why I can't find them in my 910 cache/you cant find them in your 905. Your link is also fandom wikia which means its past content, not current.

30078-30127 contains most of them, their ids & names are stored on the original items.

when i spawn one of them its just a null in inventory: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

and when dropped: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

so i found the actual model of the shard which is 91569

but its just plain: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

so was wondering how would i get an item to appear on it?

They work in a way similar to notes & lending items, the data for the shard is set in the client. You may want to take a look at a client that already has this feature implemented by default and find a way to port it over to yours.

the way to do this is exactly the same as noted.

I JUST MADE AN EXAMPLE AND REPLACED THE NOTEDID OF THE WHIP.
so create a new id or duplicate any other item but don't duplicate nulls somehow you could expect errors with that.
make your shard just inventory zoom and the inventory model + name
then you make a new whip id wich is called whip shard or something and make it have a the itemid of the shard in the notedid.
do not enter the switch note id else people are able to create whips of 1 shard lol

so all you basicly gotta do make shard itemid with the shard model - create a new whip itemid wich contains the shard itemid and done ( do not let it turn back into a whip so remove the switch note id.
