Cywir is a RuneScape 3 private server solely dedicated to bringing the community a fun and enjoyable Evolution of Combat focused experience.
The server was originally founded in early 2019 and soon became popular amongst the RS3 private server player base with just over 3000 registered accounts created in under 12 months.
Which is pretty good going!
But as some of you may recall, one of Jagex's more recent decisions to end support for its Java client prompted us and a handful of others to update our revisions.
In doing so we ultimately made the decision to halt support for our live server and close down to completely focus on updating our revision to the latest at the time 910.1. on top of this we made the call to entirely overhaul our current systems as well as play content catch up from the 3 year jump in revision from 887.2 to 910. Which is no easy feat.
This project is precious to us, and a lot of time and effort goes into what we think makes a good private server.
Our goal is simple, to provide a breath of fresh air to the RuneScape 3 private server scene
Over the years interest for high revision servers has dwindled, ultimately ending in sharp declines of players.
We hope that we are able to rekindle the fire that used to burn and engage with the community once again to bring a great RuneScape 3 private server back to your desktops.
By fully engaging with our ever growing community we are confident that we will be able to achieve the goal of creating the most fun, immersive and highly detailed experience possible.
The current progression of Cywir is going extremely well and we are growing ever closing to announcing our earlier release date voted in by the community.
Not so long ago we made a proposition to our community with an option to vote whether we release earlier with small amounts of content cuts or we continue working until the server is complete and at the standard we promised.
Combat is one of if not thee most important factor for a RuneScape 3 private server to be functional and popular.
A good combat system creates an immersive and engaging experience and without it players will not stick around.
Our promise to you provide the most accurate and fluid Evolution of Combat system possible by closely analysing RuneScape 3 combat system and mirroring into our server.
Same goes for this section, i have not gathered new media to yet.
Will be re-doing all this very soon because of the addition of NXT.

Here's a little sneak peak into what we are working on currently! Everything shown here is in fact work in progress and is be no means the final product. on top of that some of the media is outdated and taken from the discord channel and does not give an accurate insight on how far we are development wise.

Been slightly preoccupied working on various stuff.
But.. made a start on our new website wrote completely in angular to maximise responsiveness and when finished this website will be fully integrated with the server and our discord.

This decision was not taken lightly, and we fully understand this will upset some of our community but this decision was made purely for the survival of the server on launch.
With making this decision this allows us to update with no restrictions further bettering your experience on launch.
*All premium member tiers and benefits will carry over to the live server on launch and the top 15 players across all gamemodes from previous will receive a small package on launch as a thank you for dedicating time to us.
In addition to this,
Major progress is being made both server sided as well as website, More updates and media to follow in due course as and when current projects are fully completed.

Thanks, legacy combat will be in but you will always be at a disadvantage playing in legacy as you’re naturally outscaled by EoC.

Some small ninja updates from our discord channel which were pushed over the last week or so.
Client updates/changes -:

- Small patch pushed to fix a freezing issue and black screening on login. (Client now performs flawlessly)
- Another small patch pushed to combat some dead clicking issues, client is now completely responsive.
- Made changes to the client to support the editing of objects names and their options in game.

- Live Grand Exchange feed is now complete.
- Hiscores are now complete.

Server updates/changes -:

- Stone spirits are now fully supported.
- Slayer counter interface has been updated and is now visible.
- Added the Slayer Tower resource dungeon, requires 100 dungeoneering.
- Updated premier vault to support colossal chest.
- The additional 5 extra action bars are now unlocked. (pending functionality)
- Lava flow mine is now re-accessible.
- Liquid Gold Nymph will now spawn periodically and reward players with the golden mining outfit and/or will offer to trim your pickaxes with gold.
- Sedimentary, Igneous and Metamorphic geodes can now be obtained and looted in game via their proper methods.
- Mining and Smithing rework is now complete. (pending full update log)
- You can now teleport directly to your slayer task via a slayer master. Prices scale with slayer task/master.
- Premium zone has moved to Lumbridge crater and has been updated in huge detail to support a wide variety of skilling.
- Fixed an issue that was abused previously, you can no longer place divine locations/portables on top of each other to delay its expiration.
- Oddments and rare item tokens are now supported on the currency bar and will now act as global drops.
- Bank tabs now functioning flawlessly, previously and occasionally you would experience visual bugs this is no longer the case.
- Banking interface now updates smoothly and correctly when switching between or moving them and customizing the bank tabs.
- Placeholders now correctly replace your items when toggled to, previously had rare issues that it wouldn't.
- Depositing via your inventory to bank now works flawlessly, previously had some visual bugs.
- All 10 equipment presets now unlocked and functional.
- Continuation from above, all preset now save correctly and replace items taken from bank with placeholders if toggled to do so.
- You can now visually see what is toggled to save whilst making a preset.
- Bank pins are now created by using a phrase of your choice rather than a 4-digit pin number.
- Fixed various visual bugs in the banking interface, this is almost perfect now and should be complete soon.
- Implemented the aura management interface and added functionality. (auras coming soon)
- Removed all unnecessary custom shops and replaced them with a player trading post which players will be able to interact with.
- Fixed the removal of options on Well of Goodwill after revision update. (well has now been renamed and has additional right click options)
- Fixed a crash which would occur when Sophanem dungeon chest was toggled to auto-collect (object animation related).
- Fixed the outdated interface for Sophanem slayer dungeon chest.
- Fixed various issues with interacting with objects at a distance of more than one tile.
- Implemented item tickets (Bronze-Rune) to replace and prevent any armour and weapons from unconverted drop tables coming into the game.
- Fixed Giant Oyster D&D, previously in rare cases players would be unable to take part in the daily.
- You can now right click any bank booth in the overworld and it will now display a grand exchange option.

Just a quick update on the current situation and development of Cywir.
recently both I and NoX have returned to work which ultimately slowed development.
But this project is very much still an active development and progress, updates and changes will resume soon at a steady pace.
As it stands at the moment i am currently putting all my efforts into writing our own APIs which will be fully integrated with the our website as well as the server, providing a seem-less professional experience across the board.
so for the people looking forward to this project, hang tight whilst we get ourselves back to normal!
