Good luck!
Many stuff has been done, but unfortunately, no more visuals can be posted right now:
- Implemented 317 model format (some models were using 317 format in 742)
- Reworked the shader system, it's much more efficient now.
- Reverted back from LWJGL 3.1.3 to LWJGL 2.9.3 since there was no swing or javafx support in GLFW (Willing to upgrade back once they add it)
- Made the engine more oo and can be used outside of its context.
- Started to work on the materials editor, shall be finished soon.
You can use this: https://github.com/Spasi/LWJGL-FX
I started using it like 3 years ago, it works pretty nice.
Best of luck, we talked a lot about this before on skype but here we finally see it .
The project had a complete rewrite to a better structure (scene graph) as the goal of this project has been changed which now is to
create an engine that can not only adapt RuneScape but games as well.
ChangeLog:
Code:- Memory tracking system to clear all the used space upon shut down in such places like VAOs and VBOs - Abstract camera system has been introduced with FreeLookCamera implementation. - Finished the input system and GLFW implementation for it. - Advanced shader system has been introduced, much easier to maintain shaders now. - Mesh interface and BasicMesh has been introduced, not enclosed to RuneTek format, can adapt anything really easy. - Basic model rendering was done using indices instead of pushing all vertices. - Added the support for separated draw calls incases of shared vertices problem like in RuneTek mesh format. - Started on an inbuilt GUI system, so i don't have to rollback to LWJGL 2 - Started on the map editor,
ChangeLog:
Shall post media soonCode:- Finished FLO decoding/encoding. - Finished FLU decoding/encoding. - Finished basic terrain rendering, still textures, effect and shapes left to do. - Finished basic mouse intersection using bounding volumes (boxes and spheres). - Started on lighting (Spotlight, DrectionalLight, PointLight)
Bro honestly, how long do you this this will take you? This is massively extensive.
