No worries, I've just noticed that 533 and 534 fail to load in the same fashion, just in case you hadn't noticed already
Website looks awesome, I've just had a play around with some of the region editor tools.

Also a bug (of sorts) to report, if you search for something (for example an object, by name) and then switch categories (for example to scripts) where there are no results. You can double click the folder and then the search bar will be disabled and you'll be stuck with a folder with no results. Double clicking the folder again fixes the problem, but the UX around that action makes it very confusing, I thought it was just broken

Tool is definitely worth the cost, probably the most convenient and easiest to use publicly available tool that is consistently being updated. Very nice job and look forward to future updates

I've been very busy in figuring out how worldmaps work and how exactly they're being rendered. In this update I introduce you to simultaneous worldmap updating!

The worldmap will update automatically based on how you edit your region. Walls, map icons for objects, tiles etc. are included.

However there are 2 side notes to this:

    - Currently only the RuneScape Surface area will be updated. Other areas are not yet supported.
    - Only the first plane (z/level) will be updated.

I've received lots of requests of people who want OSRS support. That's what I'm going to focus on now. That, and I'll continue with the object group picker (for placing buildings and such).

    Edit:
Support for other areas and planes should be added later this week.

I have since gotten a raise and am able to afford a monthly subscription, so I'll write a bit of a review after this quote

The websites certificate is expired and needs to be renewed, nothing to be worried about in this particular case IMO

    Anyways...

RSCEdit is a great tool! It lets you edit cache data for a plethora of revisions (mostly RSHD, but supposedly OSRS is coming soon). It's allowed me to edit a lot of stuff that are going in to the development of my most recent project NBX. I wasn't able to successfully unpack my current cache, edit it and pack it back while still being usable. But RSCEdit has allowed me to start editing and adding my own content! Started out with custom sprites and itemdef editing just to get a feel for it, now I'm using the map and objectdef editor to shape the map how I want to with the ambient sounds I want. I'm also trying to learn how to use 3d modelling programs so that I can start on creating my own unique content rather than just recoloring and renaming items. Learning about interfaces scripts and configs is a bitch and I'll probably never get to the level of creating a custom interface of quality because I'm trying to stretch myself across server client AND cache knowledge, but knowing the basics is nice. For what it currently does, it's a really great AIO (for most intents and purposes) tool! However, the UX is a bit lacking. Here are some criticisms.

Anything with a text entry box:
    • Clicking out of the box will NOT save the contents. You MUST press enter to save the contents.

    Interface editor:
    • For some revisions, something is off about packing an interface with something that views models e.g. Inventory, equipment stats screen, etc. Even when not changing anything and simply packing the inventory, the model view will completely mess up.

    Definition editors:
    • Sometimes models won't show up when you open the definition for unknown reasons. Normally clicking an item def will open its inventory model alongside its definition values. Same with object defs. Sometimes it doesn't.
    • If you remove all of the values from an array contained in the def, say item options or object options, and try to pack it, it will throw an error and you have to have at least 1 value in the array.
    • You can't set any values to actual null. If I am trying to null options on an NPC so they don't show up (like removing attack from an npc with attack and talk to), I can only replace it with an empty string which still shows up as an option in game. Creating a new value doesn't work because it instantiates with "New Child Value".
    • When packing a definition, sometimes the definition will visibly disappear from your cache (it will be there, just not on the results list in the left side panel) until you pack another definition.

    Sprite packer:
    • Packing a large sprite to a sprite group (say a 25x25 to a sprite group with 15x15) will pad all of the 15x15s to 25x25. I'm pretty sure this is intended, but removing the 25x25 will keep the whole group padded at 25x25 while it should pad them to the maximum current sprite size, not the all-time maximum for that group.
    • Some sprite groups act really weird and dont allow you to add or replace sprites IN CERTAIN SPOTS due to unknown reasons. For example: Sometimes I can't pack a sprite in to spot 4, so I use a sprite I know works for spot 4 and either replace it with the sprite I actually want in 4 or add the sprite I want to 5 and remove 4, making 5 -> 4.

    Region editor:
    • Unclear which hotkey does what.
    • [BIG] Trying to select an object or tile can be really frustrating due to questionable and unknown circumstances. I can be happily selecting some objects, but sometimes I just can't select one for whatever reason. My mouse is over it but it doesn't highlight or anything.
    • Using mass paint-select (selects items you click-drag over, not area select) with object selector mode, if you are selecting objects and your mouse goes off-region it will change the camera angle.
    • Using object selector modes with an object "queued up" (object in the upper right hand window of the region editor) and releasing the mouse on a tile rather than an object will place a new "queued up" object on that tile, even though you are in select mode not place mode.

Despite the criticisms, I love the tool. Of course it has plenty of room for improvement, but theres nothing quite like it out there yet. Really great tool to use as long as you are a bit careful with your actions!

I cannot pack regions, have had this issue for about 2-3 weeks. Im expecting a refund or a free month of use because i cannot use the tool atm.

Unfortunately, it seems as though RSCEdit is shutting down

Despite the downfalls, I loved using this tool as it is the only one of its kind. Not sure if I will be able to complete my current projects to my visions if it shuts down, so I will definitely be using it whenever I have the time away from school and work to complete as much as I can.
