You guys seem very capable, I wish you good luck. Were you planning on making it open-source?

The amount of time the projectile will be faster per tile away. The cycle time will be the same every time as the speed of the projectile is increased for every 1 tile away. That's all handled client sided.
    lolwaitfuckingwhat

The last time I had to set the speed of the projectile I had to do it server-sided. We're writing the speed in it's outgoing packet's structure when requesting for a projectile so I'm sure the client doesn't calculate the speed anyhow.

It's still handled server sided, especially for dark bows

Yes. The speed of the projectile is set using the projectile packet. But they're grabbing the tiles away and setting the delay for each tile away. Which is stupid. That is not needed. If i remember correctly. It is 3 cycles (600ms ticks) and the projectile will arrive on time. The tile check is not needed.

I guess i was pretty vague at explaining it earlier, my apologizes.

It would be something like: On the attack cycle (tick) when it reaches zero send the projectile and the hit cycle (tick) to 3 once the hit cycle is at zero set the hit. No matter how far away you are. It will always hit correctly and on time. I have it done this way on my server. There is no formula calculating the tiles away and then setting the hit delay and it works perfectly.
