Hi, I have been trying to convert the original osrs map to an universal 3d format with little to no success.
There are threads about converting .dat files with datmaker to mqo and then to obj with metaseq.
So after some digging and finding out that the rspsi map editor can extract the original cache to .dat i tried it out, but when i opened it with datmaker, it showed a load error.
My question is: Can i convert the rspsi map editor's .dat format to mqo or to obj with a different program?
If no, is there another option to extract the map to obj from the original cache?

I'm not an alt, but i have been searching for a solution for 2 days straight and it's getting very confusing, so any help would be really helpful.
I ended up here because at first i tried ripping with ninja ripper on runelite, since the gpu plugin uses opengl, but again no success. After that a lot of threads came up from this site so I continued my search here.

You're not gonna find what you're looking for because the idea of having an obj of a mapsquare is pointless in rsps.

However, I made a map editor a long time ago in threejs and used their obj exporter to create an obj from lumbridge. It's far from complete though: https://displee.com/upload/region_12850.obj

What u planning to do with it if I may ask?

After graduation i am planning to do some serious grinds on my account and make videos about it. I wanted the 3d map so i can make cinematics in blender to spice it up.

I don't think it's far from complete, rather close. I might ask for too much but if you still have it, could send me your map editor, that would be awsome! But if you don't want to share it for obvious reasons, could you help me with one export (that being Unagel, where vorkath is)? Since there are no walls at vorkath i could just fix the missplaced vertices and project the texures from up top.

Can you not just run 3D Ripper DX or something similar in the Steam client?
From the model perspective there is also an obj exporter in RuneLite cache stuff.

I already have the npcs exported with this program:
    https://www.osrsbox.com/blog/2019/01...g-osrs-models/
The models are correctly uv wrapped and the textures are fine too. Only the rigs need to be recreated, but that's ok. Unfortunately it doesn't export the map. Is this what you meant?

I got near perfect rendering in my recently made map editor. Which mapsquares/regions/areas do you want me to make an obj export of?

Here's an example of lumbridge (with only missing one object) and with visibility for level 0: https://displee.com/upload/obj/region_12850.obj

    Edit:
I can also render two regions/mapsquares (max 104x104 tiles) at once, here's a wider lumbridge: https://displee.com/upload/obj/region_12850_12851.obj

Could you make me one from Ungael?
    Here is the area that I copied from Explv's Map: (2302, 4032, 2239, 4096)
