How do Runescape make 'instanced' npcs? there are npcs that appear for one player, but not another because they haven't completed a certain quest

An example would be Zamorak mage wont appear in wilderness for the player unless they have completed the miniquest

Add a exception in your update of a npc to a player.
So if you have a certain stage of a quest there is a npc on a specific spot. If you wish to, can also have a place holder npc that is invis. (Can't remember the id / ids for them)

There used to be a dump for all the existing NPC varps/varbs: https://www.rune-server.ee/runescape...nfig-dump.html

You can try PMing the OP (though he hasn't been active in a while), or opening a thread in requests.

EDIT: Actually might be interested in this too since my external HD died and I just realized I lost this file.......

They're in NPC definitions (objects have them too)

    (for osrs, as an example)
