did you actually portforward your port inside your firewall settings?

hello, ive portforwarded my server so i can chill with my friends, changed the port to 43594, the server ip to my own, i compile but then my client doesnt load? not sure why done this a few months ago and it worked fine, anyone have any ideas?
edit: i go on canyouseeme.org and it says couldnt see my service on my op, reason connection timed out

naa i didnt, but ive never done that in the past when i portforwarded and it still works, im confused cause ive done everything and now the port doesnt open... maybe because ive got a new laptop?Originally Posted by TheQuantum
try turning your firewall off, then see if the port is open if it is means you need to setup firewall for port outgoing/incoming to 43594
hmm, i go into control panel to try and turn firewall off and the bit where it says disable firewall isnt clickable, any ideas? lol sorry for stupid questions
nvm it was using mcafee firewall instead, now turned it off and its now working thank you !!!
