Corrupted class file

so i think the error started when i manually edited a .class file because the server name was always wrong, even after changing every string on the source folder to my new server name. so i decided to open a class file and change it manually

after compiling (no errors), when trying to run the server i get stuck with this, it seems that i have corrupted the class file somehow

there's an npc called Eva, whose dialogue is being handled by a manager.java, even after changing the strings on the .java file, the old strings persist on the .class file, and when i try to change them with notepad++ or even a normal string changer, compiler works fine but server won't run and gives me that error

Are you sure the compiler is working correctly? Have you tried changing other stuff and then checked for changes in game?

compiler works fine, i have added commands etc and compiled the server multiple times and it works, not sure why its not working on this

Try it through eclipse may work fine, compilers arent the best way tbh

It could be that the directory you're changing stuff in isn't covered by the compiler due to incorrect path settings.

was the file which you edited in bin folder? change it in the src folder dont touch bin folder and then compile the server with compiler.bat
