    It means you're using the wrong username or password to connect to the db.

    You're not showing the whole error message. What kind of exception are you getting?

    Also, just to point it out! It has absolutely nothing to do with 667 (revision).

    this is the whole error message, its something to do with MD5, i think because im using a newer version of ipb but i changed the table names etc..

    It obviously isn't. It also tells you which exception it's throwing.

    It probably can't verify the password. IPB doesn't use MD5, at least not newer versions of it.
