Hello. i have been trying to host the Matrix 830 server for couple of days now but im struggeling really hard where im considering just giving up. can anyone help me? basically how to change the ip. i want my friends to be able to join!

i have tried changing the ip in settings.java and in rs3applet and gameworld but still i only get "error_game_js5connect". i have deleted the whole server 3 times and started from a fresh one but i still cant figure this out. i have worked with couple of 718 servers so i know a bit about this stuff but not much.

Are you sure it's actually being compiled?
Are you also recieving any connection attempts to the Update Server?

Fixed the error but now my friends cant connect. so i guess its still the same problem where even tho i change the server ip to localhost and the client ip to my ip they still cant connect.

Did you port forward? Your client has to be 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and the client you give to your friends has to connect through your ip. Also make sure you port-forward, tons of guides out there.

Try disabling your firewall or preferably adding an exception for incoming and outgoing connections on the port of your server.

Mainly it's in the loader.java class (could be called something else on your client). Honestly I would just mass search for the current ip and change all those. Yes it should be set to true and no do not keep it as local host.
