Just download eclipse, load the client+source w/cache and then insert the arguments for it, change the IP and run it.

I really want to create a 718 RSPS but I'm completely and utterly clueless when it comes to programming and want that to change. I've done a little research and people seem to be saying that learning Java is the way to go, however I'm not really interested in creating apps/websites/programs, I just want to be able to code my own server and play it and learn from it. Does anyone have any tips/videos/tutorials which may help get me started? I've started downloading a base which is a 718, but I'm not sure what a cache and source are. I know you're all probably tired of these posts, but I'd really appreciate some help. Thank you.

So...I get quite a lot of the stuff this guy is going over, but i still don't understand java (99.99% of it at least). Where do you think I should start learning? Is there any specific recommendations when it comes to coding an RSPS on how much java you should know? Do you know of any RSPS specific tutorials which go over basic java linguistics most common in RSPS development? Feel free to tell me where to go if you think I'm being naggy, by the way.
Also where can I find base Matrix?

You can find most bases here;

I'm a beginner as well and I found that just going over Tutorials on here (Like the one I sent) is very useful. If you dont know any Java at all, just look up an Online Tutorial. I dont have any I can suggest because I've never used one - I just learned from Trial & Error and with the help of a few developers that guided me towards the right direction.
Just learn the very basics of java online (Meanings of variables, how to import methods, conventions) and you'll pretty much be capable of doing minor changes and even implement some minor content on your own. Without the very basics you'll probably end up wasting half a year learning it the hard way, or bugging someone else to do most of the work for you as a ton of my skype contacts ask. L
