Hello Rune-Server, I have come here to ask for your help.
But first, let me give you the back story of this post before I go on.
My friends and I were in the process of putting our server online (WE ARE USING A VPS) and re realized we (basically) couldn't get it to do what we wanted as far as changing exp rates to just how we liked it. Sooooo we began our hunt for a new source. We stumbled across a source called Chronicscape. After changing the paths for the compilers and runs in both the client and the source, we hoped we could start up the server. But as our luck would have it, it wasn't that easy. When we click on the source Run, it works PERFECTLY. So naturally we would click Run on the client folders.... but our luck says 'it's not that easy.'
After about 5 seconds of the client cmd box being up, this line, "error_game_js5connect," appears.
This is a screenshot of what I am talking about.

Now you may say "simple fix." It's not; we have followed every guide, every post, and EVERY. single. tip on how to fix this. But the problem is still there.
The most common "fix" for this is to make the IP yours. We have. (screenshot below)

^ ^ ^The Lobby ip is inactive on this source, so I am not required to change it
Another "fix" for this is to change the IP to 127.0.0.1 to make it "local," but we're on a VPS.... so that won't work. (If I'm dead wrong with that, don't judge me because I'm new to coding lol.) But ANYWAYS, it doesn't work. (yes I do compile after I have changed the IP each time so that's not a problem.)
Another fix is to make your ports the same... we have already done that, as you can see below

EDIT: The SUB_REVISION in both the client and source match, so that is not what the problem is.
So I think I can rightfully say I have tried everything to get this working... and so far, NOTHING has worked.
Call me a noob if I have completely looked over something, I'm just here for help. AND BEFORE YOU REPLY WITH A "simple fix" PLEASE REALIZE THIS IS A CLIENT ISSUE.
Regards,
Steele

It is that easy. Don't play on the VPS either hahaha.Loader.java Check your SUB_REVISION ------- CLIENT SIDE , make sure it matches SUB_REVISION in your server side if you need help pm me I'll gladly help bud
Edit: just try using different client. lol
Turn firewall off and try. (ON VPS) To allow incoming connections.
We decided to switch sources so we no longer have this issue..
Thankyou guys for trying to assist me.
For anyone that sees this post in the future, try the firewall like @NicholasRazz said. As for me, I hope I never encounter this issue again.
