you mean "ADDING THE CACHE" and i suggest you start with low revisions if you are new to coding ..

anyway your cache is located at your server's source > data > cache.

probably its not there and thats why your server wasn't running properly and thats why you have to download a new cache and put it at server source > data > (put it in there).

Is this how the 718 sources work? all cache is located at source > data > cache and people who load client download it straight from server?

Yes.
- They do not have a link to mediafire or what not, they download it from data - cache.

You can use a Sprite Editor or the Cache Editor that dragonkk released, just use that search bar ^
