People have told me two different answers, not sure which one is true. So yeah, what image format is it?

Depends, but usually its a gif but you can change
.png
you cant figure out yourself if you have google crome load rs and go to tools development tools then resources there will be a list of folders with files that will contain the images and codes but only open it on the page u want it says rs images are .gif
