Anyways, my opinion is yes, it would make a server look more profession (as long as they designed it, and not bought it) it shows that they can actually take time and but quality into quantity too

So I've been creating my own game, and moving away from RSPS but I still love this community despite the flaws some people have.
Now, what my thread is about is to find your opinions on having a Launcher or a Lobby for pre-game loading.
This could also be used for RSPS.
Lobbies can create an environment for communities to keep posted before actually playing the game.
A server can post news & updates, and even manage micro-transactions through the lobby/launcher.
I've been developing a launcher for a Unity-based game, and I'll have a pre-test for it soon.
Although I don't recommend using Java for your lobby, it can be done, and is very simple.
Opinions?

If you're looking at it from a FPS point of view such as COD MW3/2 then you're going about it all wrong. Why spend your time in a lobby when you don't have to? Click, click, Pe'kay. As Tom pointed out it would be a very professional aspect of the server which would definitely bring people because of the uniqueness it potentially has (If you do it properly). You should prove me wrong , good luck man.
