Now, you don't need to sit there and remove the entire copyright on your forums.
It really doesn't matter and unless you're proficient with the IPB system, you won't know how to do it anyways.

What will help you; however, is removing the version number on the bottom right-hand of the screen.

This will help with the security of your website and since everyone under the sun is afraid of being hacked, why not try to prevent it before it happens?

    Steps:

    1.

    Code:
Open the FTP/File Manager system for your website.
    2.
    Code:
Go to your IPB forum files and open the following file:
    admin>sources>classes>output>formats>html>htmlOutput.php
    3.
    Code:
Search "Community Forum Software by IP.Board {$version}"
    4.
    Code:
    Remove {$version}
    5.
    Code:
    Save and upload. You're done.

    Yaay.

No, I actually have a reason for doing it this way.
Most RSPS'S have morons with admincp access who tend to screw around with settings. If they do manage to find the option in the admincp to turn the version number back on, you probably won't realize right away.

    This eliminates that possibility.
