Community Project

Hi everyone, currently I am working on a "Community project" this project is mainly focused on bringing people who love to game and develope together, with verious sections and also a news section about games, hardware, electronics. I always wanted to create something where alot of people could join in, not only a specific group of people but everyone. This will bring people together, something i've always loved about community's.

The team

My name is Jordy am 25, currently stated in The Netherlands. I currently dont have a job thanks to COVID-19 so I came up with the idea of starting a community project I know since discord came alot of people wont use forums anymore but I cant stop using forums since I've been using them since am a little kid and like the whole aspect of it. I am not here to make money but like to do what I like. This project is funned out of my own pocket, Keep in mind this is a starting project.

Currently I am running this project by myself but would love to be doing this with others, who would love to make a project like this succeed. There is currently no name yet for the project since I dont feel the need for a name at this point. There are tons of things that need to be done before. if you would love to help out with the project, post below or send me an PM.

- responsiveness theme.
- forum setup.
- creating forum section, sub forums.
- forum registration for discord.
- forum intergration with discord (ranks).

Like you said, forums are dying out. It'll be insanely difficult to get something like this active.

So you installed xenforo and want someone else to do the discord integration.

As previously mentioned, forums are a thing of the past. Things happen instantly these days and Discord provides that.
It's a shame because especially when it comes to programming, so much is lost due to Discord. There is no google-able record of that code snippit that saved your ass, or that handy library someone mentioned that could be helpful.

I installed a IPB theme, I also bought an plug-in that handles account creation with discord, and also automaticly updates the user he's rank. I know since discord came alot has changed but I would like to keep a bit of nostalgia alive, thanks fam.

a little update,

are completed, I will from now on focus on customize the theme. I have no experience in developing a website so this will be a big learning curve for me. if anyone would like to join the discord of the community let me know everyone is free to join!
