    Eclipse, and I use it because it's the only one I have used. I know my way around it. I would never not use an IDE again because I enjoy CTRL + clicking on a method to take me to where it is located.

    I use WebStorm for the designing, and switch over to PHPStorm if I ever need to write php

    Anything to do with websites I use NotePad++, I need the syntax highlighting.

    Well, I personally use ide's. I'm going around testing any I can think of and any that get suggested to determine the best one based on features, speed, etc. for a huge list.

    Feel free to suggest some. I've tried:
    Sublime
    PHPStorm / WebStorm
    Dreamweaver / Macromedia
    phpDesigner8
    Apanta Studio
    Geany

    IDE is needed for any language, BUT only when the application is going to have a huge structure, thought languages like Java, Python, C and more must have an IDE, cause it would be very very difficult to work like that.
