Tbh I don't like him that much...he's one of those people that doesn't plan things out (his commentary) and ends up saying stupid stuff. He seems popular though and I can see that he's trying his best and doing OK.

I learned a lot of the Java that I know from this guy. I'll start you off with video #3.
For those of you that already have eclipse, skip to 4 by going to the end of the video.
The first 2 are just junk like how to install jdk.
With Eclipse you can also load your server files into it so it will work like you see in the video...
but yeah, I watched like 30 of this guy's tutorials. They are great.

Best way to learn is experience. Try joining a project with someone who is smarter than you and have them kinda teach you.
Best way is to go to classes that teach, if your still in school enroll in a class so you can get in other more advanced classes about java and programming.
This is far from "the best way to learn Java".
He sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about, he doesn't follow the programming conventions, and he certainly doesn't organize his tutorials. He jumps around a lot.
Anyway, if you really want to learn Java, take a class or pick up a book.
I'd rather read some books than listening to some commentary videos
By all of your comments I can tell that you haven't viewed all of his Java programming tutorial videos.
I have and I can tell that it's the best tutor I've had, so before you flame him, please consider watching all of his videos.
