Its great you didn't give up till now, and been progressing. Well done man and hope you continue this to an end! Will absolutely be amazing and I am pretty sure many people would like to try it.

ok, what ill do is show some updates from each department.
Modelling/Rigging/Animation
Working on the animations for the player, below is an example anim and an armour set.
2D Art
A quick look at the main island by @sytrix
Level design
Main island only
Programming client/various servers (You will have to forgive lack of media, i dont have the time to take endless unedited videos right now)
Item system underway (client more or less complete) server persistence needs some work
NPC AI: basic mammals, critters, birds and fish have basic behaviours
Player authoritative movement completely deterministic still under work (until now we had been cheating with a shitty prediction system)
Group system needs client->server hookup
Login screen more or less done, needs some font changes and realignments. Also an rss feed integrated at somepoint
Day/night cycle with appropriate ambient modifiers done(ish)
Ship system (rudimentary controls, no abilities yet)
Procedural sea works and looks alright, recently hired someone to work solely on naturalising the generation.
Basic combat system works (hitmarks, healthbars, targeting, damage in 4 formats(cone, aoe, beam, and point to point) along with asociated abilities such as healing burning etc)
I've only mentioned a fraction of whats going on atm, if you have any specific questions feel free to ask.
I'm really impressed with this, who is sketching these designs before your modeler takes a hold of them?
