IPB Adding new groups to the online list

I am a complete nub to this IPB stuff, I have recently been promoted to Administrator on this server I have been playing on for awhile now and decided to add a few more user groups to our forums. Before today I have never worked with anything like this and was just wondering if someone could help me figure out how to add new Member groups to the online list at the bottom, like our current ones for example;

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

I have been looking through the Manager skin & templates for it but I can't find anything, any help will be very appreciated.

Hover over the "Members" tab on the Admin CP and look for "Group Name Indicator". You can click and drag the already added member groups as well as add/remove any member groups you decide.

Just 1 more question if you don't mind, how would I go at making a member group appear in the "Online staff" tab on the side?

It depends which groups is classed as staff and if they're online then they will appear on the sidebar, assuming that's what you asked Anyways

Hey thanks for the reply :) sorry I just assumed all IPB forums had this but we have a sidebar that displays online staff not sure if you can help but its not displaying members in the Owner group

System Settings > Find the tab where the Staff Online hook is located > Hold CTRL and click on the groups you want to show > Save.

You're a legend! It worked :) again thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it mate!

system settings > hooks > staff online - IPB3
System > Plugins > Staff online > Edit - IPB4

Just download the hook and instalk the hook.

Simple.

and then change the settings on the hook which he clearly already has installing and thats what he's asking in the op?
