I've always used Eclipse and I was curious about some other programming tools and came across Sublime Text 3. It looks pretty good and a lot more lightweight then Eclipse, but I was curious if anyone has experience with it, specifically for Java?

I don't know of a person who programs and hasn't used Sublime Text. It's awesome. Although for Java I'd recommend a full IDE like IDEA.
it all boils down to personal preference and your optimal work flow.
I never cared for Sublime Text, then again I'm a diehard vim user.
Just find what works for you, and stick to it. Other peoples opinions shouldn't really factor it. Sure, IDE's have a lot of useful tools, but if you're not using the tools, you're probably better off not using one.
IDEA for Java programming, Sublime for.. quick editing I suppose. I've got it installed but I wouldn't ever code in it :P
Cool thanks.Quote:

Is IntelliJ worth $199?

or you can generate your own keys for it, it isn't difficult.Quote:

as for sublime, I use it for languages that aren't overly verbose (i.e. Java). It's nice, very customizable. I've found it to be great for writing code in Go, with the GoSublime plugin. Very lightweight but powerful editor IMO.
I only use Sublime for web stuff html/php
I know very well you can generate keys for it but piracy hasn't got a spot on Rune-Server.Quote:
