    ATTENTION:

I have been struggling with irl events, so much is going on in my life right now. I am:
-Training for a travel swim meet.
    -Studying for AP exams.
-Preparing for my SAT 2's (just finished SAT's, 2040 ftw).
-Personal events, all I'm willing to say.

Lessons will continue if I can find a good team to work on the lessons in my temporary absence. If anyone is interested in teaching, please skype me. Sorry.

Greetings everyone! What I am presenting today is my Java Jump-Start Class. This is a completely free lesson and guide line that will turn people who have little to no experience (or any kind of experience) into pretty fluent and well off Java coders.

Start Date: Sunday, May 4, 2014 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time

    What is included into this:
-Day to day lessons with deep explinations on the basics of the language.
-One on one support for any forms of questions outside of lesson time.
-Visuals displayed along with notes that are saved on Google Docs that you can access any time.
-Text and voice guidelines via Skype in the classroom group chat.
-Explinations and examples shown via Teamviewer meetings.
-Access to key resources part of my AP Computer Science curriculum.
-Detailed guides on relating learned material to real world applications and rsps.
-Gained knowledge of the key pieces of Java.
-Bonus guides on User-Interfaces, Sockets, and more.
-Hand written assignments to keep students occupied and learning when I'm not available.

    Why am I doing this?
RuneScape Private Servers have not been progressing as much as they used to lately. Users are relying on tutorials, snippets, releases, and so on to progress. About 95% of the servers look the same, and I think we all can agree on that. Why copy (or literally copy and paste) each other's works? Why not create our own things? The cold honest truth is that most of the community doesn't even know the fundamentals of Java. Now there are very experienced users, and there are a lot of users that have a ton more knowledge than me. But in reality, if you know the basics of Java, you can code nearly anything. I have been passionate about coding and have been learning Java (and a few other languages) through online tutorials and later on through school education. What I missed out on was someone teaching me, and now I want to give people the experience I never had. I am trying to get people to learn the language themselves, and I am willing to work hard to get people there. I have solo tutored people, and even in just a week, I was able to teach someone who didn't even know what the basic types were. That person after a week of instruction and paying attention, was able to start working on more unique content all from scratch including making their own guilds and land claiming system that involved clans and allowed you to create wars and targets, along with making skills from scratch (of course these things took a while to code, but a week of necessary knowledge). I believe that with everything people will learn from this lesson, we will be able to progress. I can gaurentee that if you take my FREE lessons, you will be able to write your own content and your server will stand out. We can create new loaders, perfect server features, increase the stability of the server, and even apply these to real world applications!

This course will last a few weeks, and if it goes well I will continue this throughout the year.
Users are allowed to join in WHENEVER, so it is not too late! I will be writing my lessons and notes on a google doc and put assignments, examples, etc. in a google doc folder that will be shared with all the students.

    What you will learn:
-The fundamentals of Java, from what an int is, how to use arrays, what objects are, etc.
-The curriculum of an AP Computer Science class focused on Java.
-How to apply these terms and piece together RuneScape Private Server content (we will be using Matrix).
-An understandment about the framework of the servers and how to create things from scratch.
-Extra fields such as Networking, User-Interfaces, and so on.
-Applying what we learned to real term applications (propose your own topics that I will work on you with), examples can be Chat Servers, Bots, Android Applications, and so on.
-We will be doing fun projects together (and seperately) such as creating advanced GUI's, Adventure Logs with MySQL, and other fun things. I will guide you guys through the group projects and teach you along the way.

What are you waiting for? Don't forget, this is FREE! I am hoping that a lot of people will participate because this can definately help out the community!
Also, if you are wanting to help in the TEACHING process and have a pretty good understanding of Java and feel that you could be a help, don't hesitate to pm me!

You will walk away being able to do amazing things you never thought you would be able to do on your own. This is a very rare chance that you will have an opportunity like this, so please don't be afraid to join in on the lessons!

If you are interested, add me on skype, and if you don't have a skype, please create one. You do not need a mic.
    Skype: mabrox97

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU DO NOT NEED ANY UNDERSTANDING OF JAVA AT ALL TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS LESSON, BEGINNERS WILL HAVE NO TROUBLE!

It's going to be great. Since you had a similar idea, would you like to lead these lessons with me? I'd appreciate any help

Of course, no mic needed. We will also be taking notes on google docs and lesson plans will be shared in a google doc folder for easy reference.

This would be a neat idea miles, i have pmed you a few cool ideas, but i shall share them with the community.

On certain days, people on here are obviously coding for Runescape Private Servers, Some may just want to learn some basics for Java Programming? So why not both?

Some days, give them the basics of Java Programming, and then get more advanced as your classes continue, and then on another day, take what they have learned, and then apply it into Runescape Private servers another day, Which would be another class.
Still learning basic java programming, but getting assignments, and having to create your own project on Rune-Server, and have to create your own unique feature for your server that you are assigned, or confirmed from miles, Just to make sure that it hasn't been released, and can leech off of it from rune-server. Think this would be a neat idea to help people learn java, and not to mention help improve there projects while learning the basics of Java Programming, so when they know the basics, They will have a really good project already to start hosting. Aswell on the weekends, have a good idea on what to do with a virtual private server, and webhosting, etc.
