Hello all. I'm here to post glimpse of my first game, Treasure Trails. It's a 2D, top-down, rouge-like, turn based, RPG. It's being developed from scratch with Java, Lwjgl, and Slick2d. My main focus for this game is to bring a casual RPG experience for players on a desktop environment that is friendly and intuitive to play. As it is a learning project, there isn't a piece of content added into it without being designed first. This includes UML diagrams for the code, concept images for the UI, etcetera. The major hardships that are challenging me the most with this project is keeping up with a consistent art style, making things I've never done before (i.e. efficient resource loading, update server). Originally it was going to be an action game using LibGDX.. but after short thought I decided to scrap that and turn it into what it is today. Any questions, critiques, or thoughts are more than welcome!
