Need help making a search for my website.

Well the website is a local business directory.
There will be many pages in a folder on the host for the business's
Anyone have any idea or tutorial on making a search box that will search for a page ie, Shop in area and load up a list of relevant pages ?

It would of been much easier if all the directories where in MySQL.

you can't just search for files in a certain directory using html.
like DJ Dan said, its easier if they're in MySQL, then you can use a PHP script to search through the database.

although it's still possible using HTML, if you use a rediculous amount of javacsript.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is what I use if I ever make some of this.
It's a search engine script, where you choose what you can search for.
You add every thing you can search for. So this is good

It also displays how many times a thing has been searched for, like google.
