    A rant about Jagex's anti-botting policy? Am I serious, yes I am.

I really don't see Jagex's problem in botting for personal xp gain as long as it's not gold farming and solely for exp and levels whilst making 0 gp profit or loosing money.

I decided to give OSRS a bash after quitting RS3 a couple of years ago, bought several thousand alchs to get from 60-94 magic managed to alch (whilst taking random breaks per 3 hours and doing it for only half a day each time) Then within 1 and a half days I was temporarily banned for 2 days under bot busting.

Think about it this way (keep in mind this is only one of SEVERAL examples if all skills are taken into consideration)

It takes 197,967 alchs from 55-99 magic

The average human can manually alch around 1k per hour if he/she is constantly doing it with no breaks.

That is 198 hours, almost 8 and a half days without sleep worth of soul destroying boredom.

Do Jagex want to deprive users of a social life? I think they do. I fully understand why they would want to ban gold farmers but I do not understand why they would want to ban people for personal xp gain making no money whatsoever from it. (in my case I was loosing money; complete opposite of goldfarming)

Back to Oldschool RSPS and COD for me, I shall be selling the GP I spent on this and the account to the best offering gold site when they unban it, as much as I want to PK on oldschool on a maxed pure I don't want it bad enough to do all that shi^ manually, I genuinely feel bad for whoever wasted months of human life to get 99's manually, every account I've used since I started in 2006 I've botted on and never even been temp banned.

Keep in mind last time I botted; the old Jagex team where in charge and I felt they didn't see non gold farming bots as a threat considering I literally 24/7 botted my RS3 main to be maxed and never got as much as a warning, obviously the new Jagex team have different views on botting and would very much like the population of their game to be loners and freaks who actually enjoy clicking and watching 197,967 alchs.

P.S You may be wondering how I got the funds to do this after quitting for so long. Well I gave my RS3 account to my friend and he also quit so I traded a guy from this forum PJ 180 odd m RS3 for 20m OSRS. So yeah it was basically free for me so I'm not "mad bro" just frustrated that a company (Jagex) actually thinks getting 99s on their game is fun and that it's OK for people to spend years of their lives to get max stats.

I should mention big Vouch for PJ, legit, at first we traded in increments as I went first and then I made a stupid stoned mistake and put up 15m osrs for the 5m he was giving me anyway and he didn't accept it. He could have easily scammed me for 15m and instead declined and said "what?"

Thanks for reading and have a nice day, haters are more than welcome to hate. I wont entertain you as I'm merely stating my opinion(s) on Jagex as a company, not complaining about being banned for 48 hours.

    Stopped reading there.

You realize a lot of their players play competitively through the high-scores so...

Apparently not, they gave me a 48 hour ban for a 1st time botting offence.

That's why I'm giving up there, because I know the account will be watched and would be perm next time so I might aswell sell my shi^ and make a quick buck out of it

    48 hours because you autoclicked

botting is not fair on the players that actually play the game properly

Your argument about alching taking so long to train mage isn't valid as the skill is designed to offer low xp in exchange for a gp sustainable magic training method.

If you want fast xp go barrage some monkeys.

A computer is playing the game, not a person; that in itself shouldn't be allowed. Jagex have every right to do whatever they want.

Your is for people like you, too lazy to do everything themselves. RS (Oldschoo/RS3) doesn't need more people like you, you know as well as everyone else; you deserved that ban.

You can find my GitHub here, for what I'm currently working on.

You're not supposed to play 20 hours a day...

    Quote from jagex's wiki:
Jagex intends everyone to use and enjoy RuneScape in a responsible way.

In order to ensure that you maintain a balanced life and get the most out of playing RuneScape, we would suggest you regularly take a break from the computer in order to involve yourself in real world activities.

=Do you limit the amount of time a player can log into RuneScape?=

No, RuneScape is an adult game and as such we allow our players to closely monitor their own usage. However we do encourage players to take regular breaks from their computers.

=I seem to be spending too much time playing RuneScape, what should I do?=

Whilst it can be easy to lose track of time you should not play for more hours than is necessary.

Should you find that your use of our products is starting to get out of control, we would always advise you to seek help and advice from a close friend or family member.

If you continue to experience problems you may wish to seek assistance from a fully trained medical professional.
