Thread: What do you think would happen if RuneScape ever goes offline?

Honeslty, if RuneScape went down, and that was all, JaGeX has various other games they've made over the years to make money off of (FunOrb, etc). RSPS might go into a new direction due to not having RuneScape to base off... We'd stop trying to copy exactly what RS has and make it our own like RSPS were when allstar's/etc were around.

I'm not looking forward to when people try to make current RS's GameFrame etc... I know a few have but it looks like shit in general and doesn't fit the theme of RuneScape at all.

then again I'm stuck in the past as I haven't played RS in months I accasionally login to look at various things and leave. I haven't played since around last summer.

IMO I think RSPS Developers are um "cleaner" then RuneScape developers? Because like, as an actual player of RuneScape the RSPS developers know what THEY want to add, not what they THINK would be cool for the game. Not saying developers don't play in-game RuneScape but they say RuneScape differently then we do. So they don't even know what actual RuneScape is like without being a developer therefor they make shit updates.

OT: I agree with you. I mean honeslty if they would get their heads out of their ass and actually stop making it 'easier' for new players aond focus on what everyone as a whole complains about daily. I got on last night, and my clan members were complaining about all the updates and how shitty the game has gotten.

JaGeX can try and fix what they fucked up many years ago, but they will never please their old players the same again.

But, they don't care, they are trying to please the immature 10 year olds playing the game.

At to the developer's comment, in a way yes, they know more. By time we figure out the last 10 things they did they will be 100+ steps ahead of us. But like you said they don't know the game like we do unless they actually play themselves. I've yet to see a JaGeX moderator in-game ince I started playing back in '06.

I think Runescape would satisfy the current players that like the new stuff & the old school players if they launched a 06-07 version of Runescape like they did with Classic. The chances of this happening are 0 to none, but if it did it would give people the chance to play the good days of Runescape

OT: They aren't going offline any time soon, even though alot older players don't like runescape now, the new players like it and with Jagex always making money they'll make sure it stays on.

Also noticed they hit 120k players in the last week or so which is a bit higher than I usually see which is around 90-100k players.(Which could be caused by the recent updating of bots)
