Aim assist is literally designed to compensate for how innately imprecise a joystick is for aiming. Also call of duty guns have practically zero recoil (because the vast majority are console players using joysticks), compare that to the recoil of the AK-47 in csgo. The recoil in cs is designed to make guns hard to aim accurately and that element doesn't exist in cod. It's a point and click simulator with a mouse.
You have this entire desk area with a mouse controlled by your wrist, elbow, and shoulder. A joystick is this tiny little area with a limited range of motion with strict sensitivities only controlled by your thumb. If you can't connect the dots I can't help you. Aim assist does have some superiority in certain situations, such as near point blank ranges because aim assist slows the aim down. Any gunfight beyond like 15m the mouse will have the aiming advantage
tl;dr lmao if i was using a mouse, those guys would have got smacked even harder. there's a reason the franchised cod league hasn't allowed mouse players to join, it's way too fucking easy.
