Thread: Paypal Debt Collection Agency

Ok so recently I had sold some RSGP to this guy on the forums. It was around 80m for $42.50 exact. The account was a limited account at the time and I had no way of getting it unlimited. So I asked a buddy of mine to go onto the account, put his credit card on there move the cash to his account and delete his credit card so hes not on file. After this the guy who I sold RSGP to started to dispute the claim. I received many e-mails asking me to follow up on this but I could not as the account was deleted and I could not log into the account to go against the dispute. After awhile I stopped getting the e-mails thinking this was done and over with. Today I got a message in the mail from I.C. System which I guess is Paypals Collection Agency. I called the rep up there and she was very rude(which what they're supposed to do and try to scare you). I was told if I did not pay there was going to be more fees or whatever. Something also about ruining my credit score. But heres the thing...I NEVER put my SSN onto the account only my phone number and my email...thats all. So can I just ignore the calls for a lousy $42. I mean its under $50 and I should have no problems. I was told by a family member that since its under $50 that I should not worry about it and eventually they will stop calling and leave me alone. Any advice or simply any feedback on this?

Your gaining debt at a young age. I advise you to pay it and gtfo with your life.

They clearly care if they found a way to track you.

They can't do anything except send it back to Paypal and Paypal might try to file a court order, which its under $50 so very unlikely they will do this. I can't have anything ruin my credit without them having my SSN, which they don't.

All they have is my Phone Number and my Address. They can either call or send mail to my house. Nothing else.

Ok but I don't have the cash to pay it back until the 6th of next month. They even gave me a deadline which is bs because I have options and I have the right to pay it on a scheduled date. They can't give me till the end of this month to pay it off.

You should be worried as this is a real taste of reality.
Don't falsely assure yourself over something stupid....this little sum can in fact affect your credit score.

I highly suggest not pushing the law unless you found a loophole.

They can't unless they have my Social Security Number which they don't and never had.

I suppose you're correct, but they will probably continue to harass you/your family as its their money.
Say you'll report them to the Police if they keep calling and threaten them back.
