And just removing rep. New traders would have to look into peoples history etc.. People would require posting vouches etc..

Rep effects trading also. Are you going to trade someone with 6k reputation or someone with 3k posts that were funny or just plain troll posts?

Rep is more effective then thanks. People thank posts because they posted a meme or something funny not for doing a service etc.. there are users with 1k rep but 3k thanks. and users with 6k rep and 500 thanks.

Rep is not going to be removed. Just cause you have more thanks then rep and would make you look better.
