Well, since all it does is when the client loads, it sends the "magic id" as a zero. after being load, the "magic id" is the integer sent from server, so idk what would be a proper name for it

Well, the protocol hasn't really changed since then, few things maybe, but the "Magic id" is just a checksum then there were some few things which have changed since then but anyways it was an awesome thread

Remember that method that appeared to be a modified version of the Djb2 string hash? It's actually a fail that jagex did, they never realised that while making that method that it's output was equivalant to String.hashCode()... Method pointed this out to me. I have tested it and it works fine with .hashCode()... jagex, you have made me facepalm another time
