Psyduck, known as Koduck (コダック, Kodakku?) in original Japanese language versions, is one of the fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise—a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards, and other media created by Satoshi Tajiri. As do all Pokémon, Psyduck fight other Pokémon in battles central to the anime, manga, and games of the series.[2] The name Psyduck is used as both a singular and a plural noun when referring to the species. Psyduck made their video game debut in 1996 with the Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Blue.[3][4]
